The Friends of Adult Education offer two scholarship programs during the year:
- The Friends of Adult Education Erin VanFossen Scholarship
- The Peggy and John Stratton Industry and Trades Scholarship
Friends of Adult Education Erin VanFossen Scholarship
The Friends of Adult Education Erin VanFossen Scholarship was created to assist adult students in Buckeye Career Center’s Full-Time Programs and remove financial barriers.

The Peggy and John Stratton Industry and Trades Scholarship
The Peggy and John Stratton Industry and Trades Scholarship is intended for adult students, enrolled in Buckeye Career Center adult education programs, to help them continue the process of gaining skills that will help them start or advance in the field they have chosen to pursue, specifically in the fields related to manufacturing, industry, trades, or safety services.
Eligible students must already be enrolled in Buckeye Career Center Adult Education Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Support, Welding Technology, Law Enforcement Training Academy, Utility Lineworker, Heavy Equipment/CDL A Operator, HVAC-R, or career enhancement courses of Advanced Hydraulics, Industrial Electricity II, Industrial Electricity III, Machine Trades II, Metrology, Welding II, Level I Firefighter, Level II Firefighter, Advanced EMT, Automotive Brakes, Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems, Automotive Steering and Suspension, or Automotive Engine Repair. (For Automotive career enhancement courses, at least one prior automotive course must be completed to be eligible).
